Two major research centres will be established in Lusatia in Saxony and in the Central German mining district. They will provide sustainable jobs that will promote structural change in these regions after coal is phased out.
Applications for the Large-Scale Research Centre
Together with politics, business and civil society, Leipzig University and Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg want to create new prospects for the people and communities of the region after coal is phased out. The universities are involved either as coordinators or partners in the following.
