The enrolment ceremony (“Feierliche Immatrikulation”) is Leipzig University’s way of formally welcoming you as newly enrolled students and introducing you to academic life.

On the day of the event, students can get tickets by presenting their UniCard at the information desk in the Neues Augusteum (foyer, Augustusplatz campus) from 8am until 2pm – or until there are no tickets left.

The enrolment ceremony is for newly enrolled students only. Since there is limited capacity in the Gewandhaus, new students – but also guests, parents, etc. – who do not have a ticket can alternatively watch a live broadcast of the enrolment ceremony inside lecture hall 8 on the Augustusplatz campus.
