Abstract
Thomas Wendeborn (born as Borchert) has been a Professor for Sports Pedagogy at the Faculty of Sports Science at the University of Leipzig since October 2023. Previously, he was Professor of Sport Education at Saarland University, Substitute Professor of Sport Education at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich, and Junior Professor of Empirical Educational Research in Sport at Leipzig University. Thomas Wendeborn received his doctorate from the Technical University of Chemnitz and was subsequently a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Potsdam. Thomas Wendeborn's scientific focus is on education in sport under the conditions and in the contexts of digitalization. The main focus is on theoretical modeling, empirical research, and practical mediation of subject-specific teaching and learning in sports, which is changing in the process of digitization. Furthermore, he deals with multiple stresses in competitive sports.
