Profile
Abstract
Matthias Behr has been the BioImaging Core Facility coordinator at Leipzig University since 2014. He also heads the Research Group for Molecular Developmental and Cell Biology since 2023.
He studied biology at the Universities of Kassel, Leeds, and Freiburg. He then completed his doctorate at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry (Multidisciplinary Natural Sciences) in G?ttingen in the Department of Molecular Developmental Biology under the supervision of Herbert J?ckle and Reinhard Schuh. He received his doctorate from the TU Braunschweig in 2003. Subsequently, he was a research associate in the Department of Molecular Developmental Biology (Michael Hoch) and DFG, Fritz Thyssen Foundation, and SFB project leader at the University of Bonn. He habilitated at the University of Bonn in 2013 (Venia Legendi in Developmental Biology and Molecular Biomedicine) and moved to the University of Leipzig.
