The Staff Council (“Hochschulbereich”) consists of 21 permanent staff council members, who were last elected by the employees of the University Sector of Leipzig University in June 2021.

The board of the Staff Council for Higher Education was elected from the ranks of the staff council members at the constituent meeting. In addition to the chairperson and his deputy, three other members belong to the board.
