The Forum #Zukunftsstrategie will hold its first meeting at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research in Berlin on 21 September this year. The Cabinet adopted the Future Research and Innovation Strategy in February. Its stated aim was to put research and innovation policy on a new footing. There are six missions that address the societal and global challenges of our time. In addition to basic research, the Forum also aims to promote practical, applied research and strategic knowledge transfer. As an advisory body for the Future Research and Innovation Strategy, it will also advise the Federal Government on the further development of German research and innovation policy. According to Stark-Watzinger, it was therefore particularly important to recruit experts for the Forum #Zukunftsstrategie who have outstanding expertise and an interest in shaping the innovation landscape in Germany.
